At some point over the last couple of weeks (when I wasn’t climbing a tree) I booked my theory!!
Yeah you read that right. No I’m not joking. Yes I will be sitting it this time. I am SO excited. I’ve been revising like mad and have just under a month to be fully prepared.
I’ve been pretty nervous about learning to drive for some time, and it’s a lot more expensive than public transport… but it is finally time.
If I’m being totally honest, I’ve been missing coastline drives and the freedom that came with my trip to Canada earlier in the year. At the moment my life is pretty damn good and I’m the happiest I’ve been in years; but I’m a wanderer and I need to GO places to really be true to myself. Believe me, I know just how lame that sounds but it’s true and I need to take the ability to adventure into my own hands.
That being said, I’m not stranded in Southampton by any means. Every single day I make a concious effort to spend some time with nature. Sometimes sitting, looking and listening, breathing it all in is enough. Other times I’m focusing on photography or just moving and getting some yoga in.
Of course I do actually have a trip coming up… Mum and I are off to Wales this weekend and we’re super excited to get away. We’ve been craving a bit of freedom, a bit of nature, and a bit of peace. I think peace is something we can all really take for granted; I know that I certainly don’t get enough of pure emotional, physical and mental peace in my day to day (or week to week, even!) and I’m at that point in life where getting into good habits is at the forefront of my mind; it’s time to align ❤
We’ll be setting off early Friday morning as I always say that half the fun of going anywhere is in the getting there. My crystal ball predicts a fair few pitstops for food, bladder relief and of course photographs.
This also means that there will be another Airbnb for me to review which is one of my favourite things to do. How wonderful would it be to spend your life travelling around the world reviewing all kinds of different homes… maybe one day; after all, isn’t life all about setting goals and aligning yourself with what you want AND deserve?
Who knows? All I know is that I love writing and for my own creative outlet I will be posting a lot more frequently and quite a range of things. I plan to continue talking about life in general alongside some TV & Film opinons, music loves and my yoga journey. If you’re lucky you may even get to read some short stories and poems as recently I’ve been revisiting old works for fun.
So, over the next few days you can look forward to insights into my Welsh trip with mum… I’ve sure it will be eventful.
Lots of love,
